Hopewell Nutrition Center is located in our dental facility. We have 2 certified nutritional specialists on staff. Both Dr. Kacherski and Angela Laubham M.S. C.N.S., CSA are available to provide nutritional and dietary support.

Dr. Kacherski is a holistically oriented dentist. He received his D.D.S. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.S. degree in Clinical Nutrition from Columbia Medical School. Dr. Kacherski is licensed in Clinical Nutrition and Acupuncture in New York State and integrates homeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition into his dental practice. He also maintains a separate practice in Clinical Nutrition. He received his acupuncture training from the International College of Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics in New York City. He has been a student of homeopathy for over 30 years. Homeopathy is both safe and effective with a long history of use throughout the world. Homeopathic medicines are regulated as drugs by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are included in the U.S. Pharmacopea. Therefore, they are legal to use in America. This special knowledge separates his practice from other dental practices. Dr. Kacherski is also a member of the dental staff at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was recently awarded a certificate of merit by the New York State Dental Society for completing 1500 hours of continuing dental education.


Ms. Laubman received her Master's Degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She has been a nutritionist for over 15 years and has a great deal of experience in treating adults and children. She has also completed several certification programs in the field of natural medicine and nutrition. She has lectured extensively on the topic of nutrition. Angela is experienced at providing nutritional support for a variety of health problems. She offers her patients comprehensive one-on-one nutritional programs which include specific meal plans, dietary supplements, stress management and detoxification programs. She has developed an in-depth weight loss and weight management program. Angela is able to incorporate useful aspects of medical evaluations ( eg. Laboratory testing and diagnostics) with holistic approaches, bringing together the best of both medicine and nutrition. She further enhances this experience by providing education to assist her patients in reaching and maintaining their health.

Marcy S. Kniffin, LCSW, RMT is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her experience includes Hospice, addiction treatment, education and family therapy. Her major interest lies in helping individuals reduce stressors that affect overall health. By teaching new lifestyles, thought processes and alternative self-care practices, she assists clients in promoting their health and balance.

In addition to her traditional training, Marcy is one of the first four therapists nationally recognized as a Master Practitioner of Mind/Body Therapies by the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine. She is also a Reiki Master and teacher in the Usui tradition.

Currently, Marcy is a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, the National Association of Social Workers and the International Association of Reiki Practitioners.

Dr. Barbara White is Board Certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her practice is currently limited to gynecology. Since she is not part of a large group practice, Dr. White spends a great deal of time with her patients, striving to make her practice a partnership. Her emphasis is on communication: Listening to patient needs, taking a detailed medical history and performing a thorough examination.

Dr. White received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University. She attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She is on the medical staff of Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Dr. White is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
